x-culture

A selected group of Professor Ernesto Tavoletti’s students, from the International Marketing course, participated in the X-Culture project in the 2013/14 second semester.

The X-Culture project is a large scale experiential learning exercise, coordinated by the University of North Carolina (USA), Bryan School of Business and Economics, designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in international business.

A total of over 2,500 students from 80 universities in 40 countries on six continents participated in the project from March to May 2014. Working in virtual international teams, the students developed a business proposal for a global company and provided a detailed plan for implementing the idea.

The best students were invited to attend the Academy of International Business, annual conference, and had the opportunity to visit the factory of  drumroll  luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton  in Miami in June 2014.

Professor Ernesto Tavoletti was in the top twenty professors whose students received the highest peer evaluations (

4.0+ on a 5.0 scale). Obviously, students who are native English speakers tended to be rated higher (which explains a high % of Americans, Australians, New Zealanders and the like in the top 20) so that the result is even more significant.
