SUSPENSION OF INTERNSHIP ACTIVITIES IN PRESENCE AND ACTIVATION OF REMOTE ACTIVITIES

In compliance with the Rectoral Decree 107/2020, internships for students already in progress that take place within the University are suspended in the presence and resumed in remote mode (subject to agreement between the sending and host structures).

Internships in progress outside universities, also outside Italy, may be continued, except in cases of suspensions deliberated by the host institution or a placed request by the trainee. In case the traineeship is not suspended, the trainee must comply with all the precautionary measures provided by the competent authorities and by the host institution for the containment of the spread of Covid-19.

The host institution can, at any time, agree with the trainee to continue the internship in a smart-working mode at the student's home. The request must be entered into the system by the host institution and approved by the student.

To carry out this operation, the contact person of the host institution must access his / her personal area and click on the item ‘internships in progress’, then in the column that is displayed in correspondence with the student's name. The institution must insert a short motivation specifying, to ensure insurance coverage, the headquarters or locations where the activities could take place and the possible working time slot.

The entered request will be displayed by the student who must click ‘accept’ and then send an email to the front office stage.

In case of need, to carry out this operation you can refer to a guide in pdf format published on the website.

https://www.unimc.it/it/didattica/stage-e-inserimento-lavorativo/stage-curriculari/enti-aziende/guida-web-modifica-tirocinio-smart-working.pdf

It is stressed that any change not limited to a mere variation of the venue but involving a redefinition of the activities included in the training project must necessarily be approved by the academic tutor. After accepting the request, the student will be responsible for contacting his academic tutor, adding in CC both the host institution's tutor and the front office stage (stage@unimc.it), to request a second approval.

The academic tutor can confirm the validity of the change to the administrative offices (stage@unimc.it) who will proceed to authorize the start of the activities.

ACTIVATION OF NEW INTERNSHIPS

The launch of new 'student traineeships', also outside of Italy, is suspended until further instructions. It is however allowed to start new traineeships if carried out remotely (smart working, webinar, etc.), using the same administrative procedure provided for in-place traineeships and using an attendance register viewable on this page.

RESIDUAL MODALITY

As a residual modality with respect to the ordinary modality and usable only until the epidemiological emergency from COVID-19 continues, the study / department course can foresee alternative internship activities consistent with the study path chosen by the student and quantifiable in CFU, aimed at students who:

- expect to graduate by December 2020 and fail to activate the remote internship;

- are unable to complete the internship already started in the presence, in remote mode, due to the ordinary procedure.

For information, you can contact: prof. Emmanuele Pavolini (Director of the Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations) or Prof. Ernesto Tavoletti (President of the master's degree course "Global Politics and International Relations" LM-52) or Prof. Ramona Bongelli (Delegate for teaching activities).
