EXTRACURRICULAR CREDITS

Following the entry into force of the new University Study Regulation issued with Rectoral Decree no. 363 of October 18, 2019, with reference to art. 30 ‘Individual study plans’ , students can obtain extracurricular credits related to subjects which are not directly required for the achievement of the degree after approval by the course Council. As a rule, the above-mentioned credits cannot exceed the 10% of the total curricular credits established for the specific study course (therefore, 18 credits for a bachelor’s degree course and 12 credits for a master’s degree course).

In case a students is intended to acquire extracurricular credits within the above-mentioned limits by passing additional exams to the ones included in the own study plan, the student is required to address in advance a formal justified request to the course Council by submitting it to the Department’s Student Administration Office (Segreteria Studenti) and by stating the additional exam(s) she/he intends to pass and specifying the related disciplinary scientific sector, credits and the study course which offers the subject(s).

In case of lack of a justified request to the course Council in duly time and manner, the passed extra exams may not be recognized or automatically revoked.
