Seminars on ETHNOGRAPHY: MORE THAN A METHOD

The Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations, in cooperation with the Interdepartmental Center of Research on Africa, organizes a series of seminars on ETHNOGRAPHY: MORE THAN A METHOD, held by MADALINA FLORESCU from the “Centro de Estudos Africanos da Universidade do Portoe”, who is currently a Visiting Scholar at the University of Macerata.

- Friday 21 November: Ethnography and Memory

- Friday 28 November: The Politics of research: Anthropology in the Margins of the State

- Friday 5 December: The Politics of Research: the Case of Post-War Angola

VENUE AND TIME

Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations, Classroom 3 (via Don Minzoni 2) , from 9:00 to 12:00 a.m.

REGISTRATION

Registration deadline: 30 October 2014 (e-mail to uoldelul@unimc.it).

Students are expected to prepare for each seminar by reading assigned materials.

CREDITS/ ECTS

At the Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations students can achieve 2 ECTS for the seminars: 2 ECTS for full attendance and 1 ECTS for attending two lessons.

Political Science Students are required to pass an oral examination with professor Uoldelul Chelati.
